About the Conference

“Our objective is simple: to speed up and improve our transport systems to ensure safety.”
- Vince Dizon (Secretary of Transportation)

Under the leadership of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos Jr., the Philippine government continues to prioritize infrastructure development as a central pillar of national progress. Through the administration’s eight-point socioeconomic agenda and the enhanced Build Better More initiative, substantial investments are being directed toward modernizing mass transportation—especially the railway sector. With the Department of Transportation (DOTr) set to receive an estimated P103.3 billion in the 2025 national budget, the government is making clear its intent to accelerate key rail projects that will improve connectivity, reduce congestion, and support long-term economic growth.

A key focus of this initiative is the Rail Transport Program, which will receive approximately P341.38 million from the DOTr’s budget. This funding supports the construction and modernization of major rail projects aimed at reshaping the nation’s public transportation landscape. Flagship efforts include the North-South Commuter Railway, Malolos-Clark Railway, LRT-1 Cavite Extension (Phases 2 & 3) and the New Manila MRT-3 Project. These developments are not only vital to easing daily commutes for millions of Filipinos but are also crucial in laying the groundwork for a more interconnected and resilient transport system across the archipelago.

As the Philippines forges ahead on its path to progress, the commitment to bolstering its transportation infrastructure underscores its unwavering dedication to sustainable development and economic prosperity. Join us at the 2nd Edition Philippines Rail, scheduled to be held on 13th and 14th October, 2025 at Manila – Philippines, for unlocking the boundless opportunities that lie within the Philippines dynamic and evolving landscape.
